That was absolutely suprising, and all of us were totally suprised by that revelation.

What’s with the mind-clutter up there?

Just discovered this comic through a link somewhere. And quite a find it is.

The art is attractive, moderately cartoony, detailed enough to convey the emotions it needs to… and then takes a turn for the surreal/creepy/otherworldly on a semi-regular basis. (I particularly like the Carrie monster looking all awkward on meeting her ex. So very human, for a snake-necked… thing.) The composition is also a definitive strong point, making the pages interesting to look at and providing additional context for the action.

The characters are likeable and engaging, though I don’t really know them yet. They’re the kind of people you -want- to get to know, though. Well, except Moez. I’m assuming he’s more of a flat side-character. In an annoying ennui-ridden aloof socialite kind of way. But Carrie is neat in a grumpy-neurotic kind of way, and seems like a great person to have in your corner. Unless she’s dodging exes. Derek wins points for awkward good intentions, and Allison is deceptively ordinary, sane and easy to relate to for someone who apparently has… issues. With ghosts. And everybody turning into… things. I’m not sure if I’d offer her my sympathies or run away from her very quickly. Maybe I’d send sympathies by long-distance telegram.

Does everybody have ghosts, and is Allison seeing them as such? If living people have them, are they anything like spirits of dead people? Lots of questions that I’m sure will be answered… at some point, a long way down the road, when the fingernails of hapless readers have been chewed to the quick. Honestly, it’s hard to comment on the plot since I have absolutely no idea where this is going. Either way, I definitely want to find out.

So, my thanks to the author of the comic for writing and drawing something very promising. I’ll be certain to be back for updates.

Do you *really* think that was the first time Nosilla tried that? I’m pretty sure she knows it wouldn’t have any direct affect on Allison’s material form.
