– Allison seems to have had a few childhood migraines too. But she probably did her “usual thing” and completely ignored them. If she kept her eyes closed during migraines, she might never have noticed the weird-looking people.
– The studies all focused on childhood migraines with a very specific list of symptoms. We can imagine that lots of kids just normally “slip” into perceiving everyone as monsters, then forget about it as adults, because it seems like a childhood fantasy. Seems like what was *really* happening with the trials was that somebody knew something about the monster phenomenon, and wanted to do something about it.
– Nosilla looks like Allison. It seems like in some sense, most people are glued to their monster half, but in the case of Allison, the glue is a bit looser.
– Speaking of monster halves, Derek seems to have a different relationship there too. He probably does not have a “Kered” / ghost. But if Derek’s condition was caused by the drug he briefly took, it seems very likely that Allison took the drug at some point. Could have been during the period she skipped over in her flashback.
– Dr. Shorthill must have been frustrated by some lack of effect, in order to do what he did with the trial. What’s his relationship w/ the ‘monster dimension’? Did he want to flee to it? Did he succeed? Did the other doctors who headed trials know as much as he?
– Allison’s brother seemed to know a whole lot about what’s going on; and he thinks he’s still alive. Maybe his ‘monster’ got buried? Maybe the same is true for Dr. Shorthill.
Yes, let us get Carrie involved. Yes, please and thank you ;-)
THE STARS, THEY ALIGN!!
