Oooh, i could tell Allison was uncomfortable during the talk with the teacher, but it hadn’t hit me just how horrible it was for her until now. Re-reading that scene now – oof.
Also this is true of every single page, but i wanna get it outta the way for my first comment, i LOVE the ‘camera’ angles – like i’ve been staring at the first and second panels because of how satisfying and tension-building and subtle the transition feels, like a zoom in while still drawing a different picture. Its easy to gush on really elaborate, breaking the mold panels – and those pages deserve it! but i really find the mark of a good artist is keeping the audience engaged on more “boring” panels. Its the little things.
