Chapter 4 Page 7
Take your “phone calls” a little quieter, Allison.
UPDATE 3/21/2021: literally just started a new job this past week (yay!!) but it’s got me running a little behind again unfortunately, so the update will be up Tuesday the 23rd.

Nosilla reeeeeAally doing a number on poor ol’ Allison
me, a person who frequently talks to thin air: I feel Seen
…do I like it?
Huh. It just occurred to me that this isn’t like, say, Kay and P, where some people are actually creatures- Allison sees *everyone* as creatures, *plus* one bonus creature that is… well, its own person. So it’s like her monstersona got split off from her somehow, while everyone else’s monstersona is integrated with them. Or at least everyone we’ve met so far… Iiiiinteresting.
I figured it was to symbolize the way she thinks. With her first head she instinctively encourages and validates Allison. The other pulls out the “Hey ya kinda made a mess” without either really giving thought to delivery.
It’d be a nice analogy. Could compare it to two people trying to talk at the same time, just trying to get the words out before something else comes up. Def the kinda person that would insist on in-depth cryptid lore talk and you’ll always need at least one of those.
Tiny Nosilla is angery.
She talk alot, she ANGY
Monster Radwa has two faces that, instead of speaking in unison, take turns. This might be the first time we’ve seen the doubled features of someone’s mutant form emoting differently…
I love that she got a Big hijab with two openings instead of just like, One giant one. Also, is she like? a Cat slug??? Snake???
Ngl, I’d die if I were Allison at this moment
Me: 20+ years of living “normally” under very close conditions.
*Sips coffee with bags under eyes* “You don’t say?”
Oh man, in LOVE with this monster design! <333
Yeah, Nosilla, despite what’s being suggested here, people do NOT usually take well to people seemingly talking to thin air, and they usually end up forced into places that are gonna make what you want to achieve A HECKA LOT MORE DIFFICULT
Y’know, I’m an old phart who still remembers a time when if you met someone who was having an animated conversation although nobody was there, you could just assume they were talking to themselves and depending on whether or not they seemed to be winning the argument, maybe a bit low on self-confidence or self-esteem, or if the argument was about things that probably exist in some different version of reality, maybe a bit schizoid.
These days, you figure you probably just didn’t see the bluetooth mic, and then you’re always taken by surprise. It actually makes it pretty disconcerting when you find out that somebody really is schizoid. It wouldn’t matter so much except you gotta use different rules of conversation, like don’t assert or suggest anything unless you really *REALLY* mean it, because if there’s any way to take it wrong you can accidentally send somebody down the rabbit hole.
Scuse me, um.. “schizoid” is a derogatory term. it’s considered insulting and demeaning to people with Schitzophrenia and Schitzoaffective Disorder. the proper term would be “schizophrenic”, but to be honest there are a lot of other mental health-related conditions and reasons for someone to be talking to themself or talking to something that isn’t there.
Yeah, I’m just gonna call this as a “Bear, let’s please be respectful about avoiding epithets in the comments section from now on.” I basically have auto-approval on and don’t have time to moderate everything, so if everyone could try to be as mindful as possible that’d make my job a whole lot easier!
Ooops. Sorry, I didn’t keep track enough to know the term had soured that way. I shall avoid it in the future.
I do know several people who experience apophenia and hallucinations, somewhat threatening in both cases, if they miss taking their meds.
Sometime when I’m very certain they are taking their meds, I shall ask one of them what I should say when referring to the set of people for whom this is true.
My check-in call this morning, in fact, gave me a chance to ask. The correct term is apparently “Schizotypal personality disorder” – and she’s taking her meds. And the correct term for me is “Paranoid Depressive.” And I’m taking my meds too.
She informs me that while she’s been using “Schizoid” casually, it actually refers to a related disorder and isn’t really accurate.
But both of us do okay as long as we stick to it. And so do the other three people we rotate our check-in calls with.
Just FWIW, the drugs they have today are leaps and bounds better than what was available when I was a kid. I went through most of high school feeling like my head was full of felt.
Now isn’t this an interesting little thing. I shall need to see it’s fate more closely~.
is nosilla trying to be allison’s wingman ahahahahaha. i’m warming up to this bastard creature.
Aha so now we know Allison’s type, she likes fluffy tail-havers
